Luganda is the most spoken language in Uganda. It is arguably Uganda’s national language besides English because it is spoken by at least 60% of the population. One should also note that due to the poor education system in Uganda, at least 20% of Ugandans are illiterates and thus only understand Luganda or any other native language such as Swahili, Lusoga, Runyankole, Runyoro, Rutooro, Rukiga, Lango, Alur, Acholi, Teso, Karamanjong, Lugbar, etc which languages our company amply translates (from) or (to) English.
If you have a business you are planning to operate in Uganda, it is important that you customize or tailor the information about your business to be able to communicate to your customers effectively. Language translations for your business should depend on your targeted audience and the place where your business is located. Areas where to business owners should look at tailoring their message to at least two native languages include;
- Television and radio programs.
- Movies / Film making
- Songs / Music
